Last week was gorgeous and we decided to go check out another new to us playground - Washburn Park Playground in Marion. We packed some snacks and drinks, and made our way over. The drive was easy and the park was very easy to find. We arrived around 10:00 am and were the only family there, until another family joined us around 10:30. Thomas was so excited to have other kids to run around with! There was plenty of parking and lots of things to do. I wish we had more time to explore - it looked like there were lots of walking trails with tons of cute dogs to pet :)

The playground was full of  climbing structures and slides. They also had little ride on toys that Thomas and Henry loved. My one year old had a blast going up and down the incline surrounding the playground. There were facilities right by the playground, but they were locked when we were there. I think those may be seasonal.

I can't wait to get back and check out what else Marion has to offer! While we were at the playground, a super nice mom told us all about a brand new walking trail (with ocean views) that we need to go see! Check back for a review on that sometime soon!

Playground Rating

Safety - Good: This playground is not fenced in, but there was no apparent broken equipment. Structures were a good height. However, there was a decline into the playground that could be a tripping hazard.

Cleanliness - Good: There were a few trash items on the ground while we were there, mostly water bottles.

Facilities - Great: The playground offers a lot for many different ages

Overall Rating - GOOD
