FREE Fishing Festivals Coming to Plymouth THIS WEEK!

Do you love to fish? Or have a child that would like to try it out?

Tons of fishing events are popping up around Plymouth! Check out these two coming up this weekend:

Fearing Pond Family Fishing Festival

This is a FREE family friendly learn to fish event. Choose to bring your own fishing equipment - or borrow equipment when you arrive. The event will take place at Fearing Pond in Myles Standish State Park from 10:00am-1:00pm. This festival is open to the public and no registration is required. Fun for all ages! Saturday, September 25th from 10:00am-1:00pm. 

John P. McKenna Fishing Derby at Morton Park 

The John P McKenna Fishing Derby has been established with the hopes of passing on John P McKenna's love for fishing with other members of the community. The Fishing Derby will be a FREE day of fun for kids and their families. All proceeds that are raised will go towards funding the Fishing Derby. This event is free and open to all children ages 3-17 from Plymouth and surrounding communities. All participants will be provided instruction, a goody bag, and prizes! Registration is at 8:00am, and the events run from 9:00am-12:30pm. There will be lots of tackle and rod/reel combos to given as prizes along with trophies in each age category including a grand prize for the biggest fish. Advance registration is NOT required. Saturday, September 25th from 8:00am-12:30pm.
