The school year is upon us, full steam ahead! Hopefully there are daily processes in place to keep your home organized, if not, refer to last month’s article on getting your house ready for school! There are some great tips that maybe you didn't realize you needed until the papers started piling up.

Everyone  has been so focused on Covid, for obvious reasons! I am in the same boat, I have many kids in many different schools so I have germs coming from every angle. Guess what else is still lurking?...strep, influenza, head colds to name a few. Even though our kiddos are wearing masks, they are still catching these! Hear a sniffle...freak out?! I am right there with you..thinking the worst. The nurse calling, having to leave work, kiddos missing valuable class time. We need to stay ahead of this!!!

Hand Washing

We know hand washing and hand sanitizing is extremely important. We have random bottles throughout  our house. I’m sure we aren’t alone! It’s nice to have that quick sanitization in between more thorough hand washing. I taught my kids to sing happy birthday while washing...I do it in my head without even thinking now! I was in the medical field for 15 years so avoiding germs comes naturally for me, I know some who never did those preventative measures prior to Covid hitting our area.

Cleanliness

I can not stress enough the importance of cleanliness!!! Clean, clean, clean. I can’t guarantee that you won’t get ill but it might prevent you from getting ill less frequently. You can also prevent getting your loved ones sick. Keeping surfaces clean with antibacterial substances is great. Antibacterial type wipes are convenient but my kids can go through a bottle in less than 30 seconds, so not financially the best option. I prefer antibacterial sprays, just be careful not to spray near food. Remove what you can from counters and spray. This is where getting rid of clutter comes into play!

Get Rid of Clutter

The less clutter, the easier it is to keep your surface areas germ free. Counters, doorknobs, light switches, toilets, sinks...even those sponges we keep for way too long are all breeding grounds for those pesky germs. Make sure to keep them clean as often as possible.

Hire A Mother's Touch Cleaning Co. to take it off your plate!

No time for this? I know, I know. There aren't enough hours in a day for this!! That’s where we come in….we use hospital grade germ killing products that have no smell! So no overpowering bleach smells. I myself suffer from migraines so I can’t have something super strong smelling but I need those germs gone. Reach out today if we can help get you up to speed on this fight against germs!
