Every few weeks, Plymouth Macaroni Kid will introduce you to an amazing, local mom. Nothing makes us happier than supporting incredible women. I am so excited to have the opportunity to introduce you to some of the Plymouth Area's finest!
This week, I'd love to introduce you to Heather! Heather is a local mom and president of the Sydney Craven Memorial Fund, a non-profit organization helping to provide financial support to children and families in Bridgewater, East Bridgewater and West Bridgewater for activities that promote individuality, growth, and self-discovery. Heather, her husband Shane, and Heather's crew of besties created the Sydney Craven Memorial Fund to honor Heather and Shane's daughter. They want to create a legacy, and share the sparkle that she had. Heather says "Sydney Gabrielle Craven was just amazing, spunky, and a sweet little girl. We know that her sparkle and twin bond will live on forever through every bow, sparkle, tutu, and memory that is shared."
One way you can support the Sydney Craven Memorial Fund is by joining in the 6th Annual Tutu Run on June 18th, 2022!
How many kids do you have and how old are they?
I have 4 children. Sydney (who passed away 9 days shy of her second birthday), Logan( 8.5, Maddox ( 5.5), and Lillie ( 2)
What town do you live/work in? What is your favorite thing about the Plymouth area?
I live in East Bridgewater and work in Taunton. I love all the restaurants and the history that Plymouth has to offer!
3. What do you like to do for fun with your kids in the Plymouth area? Without your kids?
We love the splash pad, ice cream, dining, and Plymouth Rock.
4. Tell me about The Sydney Craven Memorial Fund and how it came about. Is the organization your full-time job?
We started this non-profit after my daughter had passed away unexpectedly. We wanted to honor her legacy to other children in the community This is my part- time job. I am the president of Sydney Craven Memorial Fund.

6. How do you balance work and life? Any tips?
As a grieving mom I made sure that I wanted to honor my daughters legacy. I have set forth a mission to help other parents who have lost a child unexpectedly. I don’t want anyone to be alone during the grief process.
