Meet a Mom is BACK!

Meet Lindsey, Owner of Top Notch Nutrition!

By Erin Michael, Plymouth MA Macaroni Kid Publisher June 26, 2022

Every few weeks, Plymouth Macaroni Kid will introduce you to an amazing, local mom. Nothing makes us happier than supporting incredible women. I am so excited to have the opportunity to introduce you to some of the Plymouth Area's finest!

This week I would love to introduce you to Lindsey - the mom behind Top Notch Nutrition! Lindsey is a single momma and a business owner. Talk about ambitious! Read on to learn more about Lindsey and why she loves the Plymouth area - and her business - so much!

1. How many kids do you have and how old are they?

I have 1 child and she is 4 years old.

2. What town do you live/work in? What is your favorite thing about the Plymouth area?

I live in Plymouth and I love the community of people and families and I love the beauty of our town!

3. What do you like to do for fun with your kids in the Plymouth area? Without your kids?

I love to take walks downtown, visit local parks and ponds like Nelson Park downtown and Hedges Pond in south Plymouth. We love visiting other small businesses in town on the weekends!

4. Tell us about Top Notch Nutrition and how it came about. Is Top Notch Nutrition your full-time job?

Yes my business is my full time job besides being a single momma. My business opened 5 years ago in April! I always knew I wanted to run my own business and I have always been interested in health & wellness. My mother, Laurie, and I actually opened Top Notch together in 2017 after she had some major health issues which led us together in opening Top Notch to offer a healthy "on the go" option for busy people and families as well as a warm, fun place for friends and family to come visit during their free time! I had my daughter at 20 years old and am so grateful I can bring her to work some days and can teach her a healthy way of living!

5. Where can we buy your products and learn more about your business?

In store or on Facebook and Instagram!

6. How do you balance work and life? Any tips?

It sure is a rollercoaster!! I think when you're a business owner that is a lifestyle in itself. Top Notch is my daughter and I's second home and I wouldn't trade it for the world. Getting work things done on the week days so on weekends we can enjoy our free time away from the work life as much as possible!

Tell us your favorite places in the Plymouth Area to...

EAT

Tavern on the Wharf (I have a gluten allergy and I can eat almost anything on the menu)

Jefes Betta Bar and Grill (the nachos are to die for and margaritas are fantastic)

The MEA (the best Thai food in town)

The Blueberry Muffin (they have the best breakfast in town! Also great gluten free pancakes! Very family friendly too)

PLAY with kids

Nelson Park!! The beach, the park, and the splash pad area. They have tables to sit for lunch! The view is beautiful. It's simply the best.

PLAY without kids

That's a great question! Out on the town (one of my favorite restaurants) or home with my feet up!

FAVORITE LOCAL BUSINESS

All the above!! The restaurants I stated and why but also Tiny Town Children's Center where my daughter Nevaeh goes three days a week. They are so warm and fuzzy. They have a great place for the kids to learn and play inside and outside. I'm so grateful for Tiny Town and the environment my little girl gets to grow in!

Thank you so much Lindsey for sharing!
