Did you know that there is a scientific correlation of a clean environment and positive mental health? A study by UCLA found that families living in cluttered homes exhibit higher levels of the stress hormone cortisol, indicating that cleanliness can significantly impact stress levels and overall mental health.

However, families are busier than ever and keeping a tidy and clean home all while taking care of kids, pets, spending time with your significant other and working can make it near impossible to check every box. I know this from my own personal experience. Having a clean home is crucial for our family, it affects you so much more than you could ever imagine.

There is a clear connection between cleanliness and mental health. It reduces stress, a cluttered and messy home can cause stress and anxiety. A clean home has the benefit of creating a sense of calm, less chaos. It can also help  in improving concentration and productivity due to having less distractions. This is vital especially for those who work from home. Studies have also shown that being clean and organized can uplift your mood and happiness. Cleanliness has the ability to give you a sense of control over your environment which is so important for your mental well-being. Regular cleaning can prevent feelings of being overwhelmed in this already overwhelming world.
