Are you a young farmer between the ages of 16 and 35? Please make plans to join our group as we tour Mayflower Cranberries and Kim LaFleur's mini horse facility.

Mayflower Cranberries LLC is a family cranberry farm owned by Jeff and Kim LaFleur. Located in Plympton, Massachusetts, the 112 acre farm has 23.6 acres of active cranberry bogs. They have two sons whom we hope will take over the family business someday. Jeff and Kim opened the farm to visitors from around the world to fully experience the cranberry and all that goes into producing this red little berry.

The LaFleurs are Grower-Owners for Ocean Spray Cranberries, a farmer owned cooperative. In 2017, Jeff, a first-generation cranberry grower, was elected to the Board of Directors for Ocean Spray Cranberries, having previously served on the Cooperative’s Grower Council from 2014 to 2017. From 2013 to 2017, he was the Executive Director of the Massachusetts Association of Conservation Districts, as well as the Executive Director of the Cape Cod Cranberry Growers’ Association (CCCGA), the trade association representing the state’s cranberry industry, for almost 20 years.

While Jeff focuses on cranberries, Kim breeds, shows and sells World Grand Champion miniature horses. They have more than 20 miniature horses which are raised under the farm name Leeside. Kim is also the state program coordinator for the Massachusetts FFA Association, an intracurricular student organization for those interested in agriculture and leadership. She also serves as Secretary-Treasurer of the National Association of Conservation Districts.

We hope to see you at this tour!
