5 Local Indoor Events and Activities to Will Burn Energy This Winter!

Grab ideas for indoor play - and keep those kids busy all winter long!

We are in the thick of the winter, and sometimes getting those kids outside to burn energy and play becomes a harder task than it was in the warmer months. While we love getting outside even in the colder months (hello winter gear!), here are some options when getting outside just isn't in the cards for you. 


1. The Wolves Den Inflatable Playground and Open Gym 

The Inflatables Playground (best suited for ages 1 and up) is open at the Wolves Den and a part of Open Gym. Wolves Den is also a great place to host your kids birthday party!

Keep your kids entertained for hours with ginormous inflatable slides and climbing structures, basketball, volleyball and pickleball!

Location: The Wolves Den, Pembroke, MA

Fee: $15 for one child, $10 for additional 


2. Little Leapers at Skyzone

Get those littles jumping with the Little Leapers program at Skyzone! On Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Friday from 10:00am-12:00pm child (ages 5 and under) can enjoy a fun, high-energy play adventure. This program was created for parents and little ones to enjoy together. 

Location: Skyzone, Kingston, MA 

Fee: $14 for one child, $5 each additional jumper 


3. Saturday Stories at Plymouth Public Library 

We have lots of different storytimes on our event calendar, but Saturday stories offers a unique storytime for caregivers that are otherwise unavailable to participate during the week! This half-hour story program gives parents, caregivers and children 6 and under the opportunity to enjoy books, songs, rhymes, and movement activities together. 

Location: Plymouth Public Library 

Fee: FREE


4. Pinz 

Pinz offers active fun for your family all week long! They offer weekday specials that we love and help families enjoy bowling for less!

Monday Madness

$20 for 2 hours of bowling (per person)

Taco and Play Tuesday 

$1.99 tacos, 1/2 priced arcade

Wednesday Burger and Bowling 

$7.99 burger, $4 bowling games

Location: Pinz, Kingston, MA

Public Skating at Armstrong Arena 

The Armstrong Skating Arena is a Commonwealth of Massachusetts public ice skating facility, overseen by the Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR). FMC Ice Sports has been operating the arena for DCR since 1992. The arena is a full service skating facility offering an extensive variety of skating programs for all ages and abilities.

Location: Armstrong Arena, Plymouth, MA 

Fee: Skating $6, Skate Rental $6
