5 "Date" Ideas for the Whole Family

Just because you can't get a sitter doesn't mean date night (or day) has to be ruined. 

Here are 5 "date" ideas that are perfect for the whole family.

1- Jazz Brunch. 

One of our favorite places for brunch (ok, all meals) is the Inn on Shipyard Park in Mattapoisett. Each Sunday morning they have serve brunch from 10am - 3pm. We really love their Jazz Brunches with Trevor Kellum, which they have on the 1st Sunday of each month. We suggest the Stuffed French Toast! 

2 - Go to the Movies

Often times kids movies are just as fun for the adults as they are for the kids and surprisingly, if we are at the theater, my kids will actually sit through a whole movie. There are plenty of options for movies at Regal Cinemas Kingston and Flagship Cinemas (Wareham). Right now we have the new 'Star Wars' movie and 'Ferdinand' on our list of movies to see.

3 - Do an Art Project 

Kreativ Paint Parties has painting and crafting events for everyone from kids to adults. Your family can join a scheduled party or collect a a few other families and create your own party. We went with my daughter's class on the last half day and had so much fun painting. There is no experience needed just your willingness to have fun. 

4 - Go on a Scavenger Hunt

We really enjoy games and puzzles, so of course, we love scavenger hunts. Check out our Pinterest Board  and our Printable Selfie Scavenger Hunt. It is a great way to explore your town and have fun at the same time. 

5- Go Bowling

Bowling is a go-to activity for our family. It is what I like to call a lazy sport...you get to be active but you also get to sit around a lot too. Bowling can be fun at almost any age. Sometimes we get Grammy and Grampy to go with us too. There are lots of options for bowling. Pinz in Kingston offers bowling, table games, and an arcade along with a full restaurant and bar. Alley Kat Lanes is candlepin the way I remember it, complete with an arcade and beer and wine. Connected to Alley Kat is Kingston Ten Pin, two types of bowling under one roof. Ryan's Family Amusements in Buzzard's Bay is next on our list to check out.
