Each week for the next ten weeks I am going to break down one of the core values and share why it is important to me and my Macaroni Kid edition. The way of Macaroni Kid - Core Value #1 Enrich our Communities
Community has always been important to me. I have always like to serve others. Serving and helping others gives me energy and lifts my mood and spirit. When I left my career to stay home with my daughter I was in search for more than diapers and laundry. I found Macaroni Kid and I did my research. I looked at sites across the country and looked up as much information as possible to make sure it was the right fit for me. When I saw that their core values started with community I knew it was the perfect fit.
Macaroni Kid allows me to work at doing something I love - serving my community. Somedays I get to share with new parents things to get their rambunctious kids out of the house for the afternoon. Other days I get to meet with local businesses or non-profit organizers who have a passion to paint or cook or care for our community in some way. There are days when I can share my struggles in parenting with the hopes of making parents feel less alone in their own struggles. But every day I get to get up and work with my community and serve others.
As I grow in Macaroni Kid I am excited to bring on new ways to serve my community through events and articles. Every day I learn a little bit more and every day I put that knowledge back into Macaroni Kid Plymouth MA
