Kids want to cool off, but not sure where to go in the Plymouth area? Here is a list of splash pads and pools in the Plymouth area to take kids on these hot summer days.

We advise always checking with the venue when possible before heading out as hours and availability can change due to any number of factors, ranging from weather to staffing issues.

Splash Pads in the Plymouth Area

Nelson Park

235 Water Street, Plymouth MA

What to expect: Nelson Park offers so much for kids of all ages. The park itself has a recently renovated playground, splash pad, walking trails, beach access, snack bar, and bathrooms - all with a view! You should know before you go that parking can be tricky with some construction going on in Plymouth, but if you can't park in the Nelson Park lot there are plenty of lots you can walk from close by on Water Street! Just be sure to triple check signs!

Dates and hours: The park is open daily from dawn until dusk.

Admission price: Free!

Buzzards Bay Splash Pad

Buzzards Bay Park, Buzzards Bay, MA

What to expect: This is another splash pad with a view! There are bathrooms available at this park, and there is plenting of parking right near the railroad bridge. The park is within walking distance of the Cape Cod Canal, Mic's Main Scoop, and the National Marine Life Center. The playground and splash pad are fully fenced in.

Dates and hours: Daily 11am-4pm and 5:30pm-7:30pm *hours subject to change

Admission price: Free!

Hopewell Park Splash Pad

Hopewell and Hamilton Street, Taunton, MA

What to expect: We went to this splash pad with children ranging from ages 2 to 5. It kept their attention for well over 2 hours and they loved it. While there was a pool there, we never saw it open and we stayed until about 2pm. It did get busy as some summer camps seemed to use it, but nothing crazy. It seemed there were some bathrooms near the pool area, but we couldn't access them since the pool was closed. It is important to note that there is NO SHADE by the splash pad - many people brought their own chairs with umbrellas attached, but otherwise make sure to pack lots of sunblock!

Dates and hours: The splash pad is open mid-June through Labor Day. The hours of operation are 10:00 am – 8:00 pm daily.

Admission price: Free!

Plymouth YMCA Splash Pad and Pool

Redbrook, 2 Greenside Way, Plymouth

What to expect: The pool and splash pad at the YMCA are such a great spot! They were opened just last summer, and are such a great way to cool off when the temperature rises. Be sure to check with the YMCA to see if the splash pad is working - last time we were there, it was being worked on.

Dates and hours: Family Fun Swim is 12:00-7:00pm daily.

Admission price: Free with a YMCA family membership

Marshfield Boys and Girls Club

37 Proprietors Drive, Marshfield, MA

What to expect: We haven't been to this park yet, so I can't say what to expect! If you've been here, send me a message with all the details and I will get this updated!

Dates and hours: Saturdays and Sunday, 12:00-5:30pm

Admission price: Kids $5, Adults $10

INCLUSIVE Sandy Pond Playground and Splash Deck

482 Buck Island Road, West Yarmouth, MA

What to expect: This is a brand new park just opened on June 24th, so we haven't had a chance to check it out! We will get there soon and update!

Dates and hours: N/A

Admission price: Free!

Heritage Park Splash Pad

520 Main Street, Mashpee, MA

What to expect: The Splash Pad is now open for the 2023 season! You can also find a playground on the grounds! Another one on our list, so we will update as soon as we get there!

Dates and hours: Open daily 10:00am-6:00pm

Admission price: Free!
